we made friends!
We went for a stroll around our neighborhood in search of new playgrounds yesterday. When we stopped to ask for directions, this nice man told us we were a block away from the National Army Museum and that we had to stop in because they have this great play space for kids. So we went in, and it turned out to be a pretty interesting museum. The play space was fantastic and the whole thing was free! But the best part was that we made some friends! I met a woman who is visiting from the U.S. for 2 months while her husband works and we had a lot in common. While I was chatting, Julia hit it off with her 8 year old daughter and Ruby hit it off with her 15 month old. Fun day!

So great that you made friends! Where are they from? The temperatures here are just awful. I see sweatshirts in all of your pictures and I am jealous. It was 96 in Newark today and no end in sight........miss you guys a lot. Love you, MOM
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I can't believe the heat hasn't stopped there! It's chilly here, but so perfect for sightseeing. When we arrived they were having a "heat wave," with highs at about 85. I told them they don't know what heat is! It tops off at about 70-75 each day. Our new friends are from Portland, Oregon.
ReplyDeleteThat is great! So glad you guys made friends( not surprised) and the playspaces there sound so awesome! :)
